Clare graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Art History from Goldsmiths College in 2002. In the years that followed, she deepened her practice by studying yoga, anatomy, and contemporary expressive portraiture in London before relocating to Kent after the birth of her daughter.
As a mother and artist, Clare finds inspiration in the quiet stillness of sleep. Painting her child at rest revealed the fleeting innocence captured in those peaceful hours. Over time, she expanded her focus to create portraits that serve as living time capsules of childhood's energy, charm, and growth. Each piece celebrates the small, treasured moments as her daughter and other children evolve and gain independence.
